From a talk given to people facing cancer. 19th June 2016, London.
Thank you Sophie, I needed to watch this today. I am incurable but managing my secondaries well on maintenance chemo at the moment, 21 months into diagnosis. I have been quite buoyant recently, family holiday, spa treatments and buying stuff to make me feel better but this morning after a painful night on the loo (thank you chemo) I was down and needed help – and there you are. xxx
Wow Sophie, your perseverance and tenacity are a wonder. I’m moved – frozen in fact, to realise, again, what you are facing, and facing so so very bravely. I just don’t know how you do it but I’m very very grateful to know that it’s possible. Well done, well done, you amazing, inspiring woman. Much love, Kate xxx
Sophie, you are so amazing and inspirational. Since a friend sent me your book when my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I have been following you. Everything you say is giving us all hope and fills me with emotion. Thank you. Sending love to you and your precious family.
Congraulations Sophie. Another great message and another amazing hurdle leaped. I cannot imagine what it is like to have 27 “bobs” (thats what my lonely little tumour was named) but i hope they all R.I.P
Proud to announce that my book “Lifeshocks” just won the 2018 Nautilus Gold Award in the personal growth category.… t.co/gfgNnWZ85Q
@BBCWomansHour I had this for 20 years before being diagnosed. Great to see you covering it.
